Open a photo that has scenery that you would like to spice up a bit or think would look good as a painting. I started out with a light house from Maine.
Copy and paste 3 more layers of the same picture. Activate the first layer above the background and turn off the top 2 layers. Do this by viewing the layers palate and highlight the layer above the background. To turn off the top 2 layers click on the eyeglasses and they will have a red x on the eyeglasses after you click it. A layer with the glasses x'd out is off.
Apply a weave texture to the first layer. Use these settings.
Gap size 1,Width 1, Opacity 14, Weave and gap color black. Click OK. If you have eye candy you can use the denim weave and adjust to your liking.
