Having a loved one in our Armed Services, we have become alarmed at a few of the statements recently by a few of our elected officials. These statements have been repeated by terrorist themselves in order to discredit our country and bring down the morale of our troops.
One day after Senator Kennedy and Senator Byrd spoke before the public announcing that Iraq was President Bush's Vietnam, Al-Sadr repeated the phrase as a public statement while his band of outlaws killed our troops. Their statements were heralded in publications such as Al -Jazeera promoting an insurgency of Iraqis against Americans. Their statements literally gave aid and comfort to our enemies.
We were equally disheartened to hear Senator Kerry refer to Al-Sadr as a legitimate voice from Iraq in an interview with NPR. Need the public remind Senator Kerry that Al-Sadr has a warrant out for his arrest for murder? Referring to Al-Sadr's voice as legitimate for Iraqi people was an insult to both the Iraqi people and our troops.
We are also disturbed concerning a limited number of military families that try to speak for all families while protesting the war. We feel that a lot of families are exploited during times of grief and pain. Most of the groups that promote the anti-war protest have an agenda that does not promote our constitution; in fact, we are of the opinion that the anti-war agenda works to destroy our constitution.
Because of the named infractions, we wish to go on record and let people like Senator Kerry, Senator Byrd, Senator Kennedy, and the media that promotes the anti-war agenda know that unlike during the Viet Nam War, this time the silent majority will not remain silent! We support our President and our military.
Together, we abhor the treasonous voices of those who aid and abet our enemies.
